1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Fight Alarm ("we", "us", "our", or the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Fight Alarm Android application (package com.bgdev.ufcalarm) and the website at fightalarm.app (collectively, the "Service").
Fight Alarm is operated by Blaz Golob as an independent developer. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information. When you sign in, we receive a unique user ID and, depending on the sign-in method you choose, your email address and display name through Firebase Authentication.
- App preferences. Your favorite fighters, alarm settings, notification preferences, fight predictions, and votes you submit inside the app.
- Feedback. Any feature votes, ratings, or messages you submit voluntarily.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app information. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate region (derived from device locale).
- Diagnostic data. Crash reports, stack traces, and performance data via Sentry to help us fix bugs.
- Usage data. Aggregated, anonymized data about which screens are used and which features are most popular, via Firebase Analytics.
- Push notification token. A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver fight reminders to your device.
- Advertising identifier. Your device's Advertising ID may be accessed by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads (see Section 5).
2.3 Information we do not collect
- We do not collect precise location (GPS) data.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How we use your data
- To deliver core functionality: scheduling alarms, showing fight cards, and syncing your subscriptions.
- To send push notifications you have opted into (e.g., reminders before a fight starts).
- To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.
- To understand how the app is used in aggregate so we can prioritize improvements.
- To display advertisements that help keep the app free.
- To process in-app purchases and verify subscriptions.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-party services
We rely on the following processors. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data they receive:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Remote Config) — Firebase Privacy
- Google AdMob (advertising) — Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing (in-app purchases) — Google Privacy Policy
- Sentry (crash and error reporting) — Sentry Privacy Policy
Public fight data displayed inside the app is sourced from publicly available pages on UFC.com, ESPN, and Wikipedia. No personal information about you is sent to these sites.
5. Advertising and Google AdMob
Fight Alarm displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), IP address, and other signals to serve ads, measure their performance, and prevent fraud and abuse.
A list of Google's advertising partners is available at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.
5.1 Personalized vs. non-personalized ads
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the app shows a Google-certified consent message before any ads are loaded. You can choose between personalized and non-personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time from the app's settings screen.
5.2 Opting out
- You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads on Android.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
- You can learn more about how Google uses ad data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. Push notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send notifications about upcoming fights you have subscribed to. You can disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings or from inside the app. Disabling notifications does not affect the rest of the app.
7. In-app purchases
If you purchase a premium feature or subscription, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We only receive a confirmation that a purchase was made and a receipt token used to verify entitlement.
8. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Crash reports and aggregated analytics are retained for up to 90 days.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at the address in Section 13.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted local storage on your device (Android DataStore), and authenticated access to Firebase services. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable technical and organizational measures.
10. Children's privacy
Fight Alarm is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data.
- Restriction — ask us to restrict processing in certain cases.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for ads personalization or analytics at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA): we do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
